Metabolism Forecaster

in Blog, News, Facts, Fitness

Happy Monday!  Hope you all had a great weekend.  I was trying to figure out what to post about today for “News, Facts & Fitness Monday”.  I was searching through some of my fitness files on my computer and came across this metabolism forecaster.  I have no idea where I got it, but its really cool!

Its all formulated, so all you do is punch in your info and it will calculate everything for you.

Note: I didn’t create this, so I won’t have any answers if something isn’t working quite right.  Its more or less a fun thing to do to get an “approximate” number of your average calorie burn and metabolic rating based on your activity and lifestyle choices.

Click the link below and you can save it to your computer and give it a try!

After you’ve done it, leave a comment below.  I’d be interested to know if you found the results surprising or not!

The exercise options weren’t great but yes, I think I did it…not sure I understand it all though!? Very interesting that if you enter that you take an SSRI it made my metabolism burn 350 less calories a day! (I don’t take them anymore but I have never had an issue with my metabolism until I took antidepressants. I’ve been off them for 3 years and have no need for them anymore, but ever since my metabolism has slowed ridiculously). Who developed this program, do you know?

By program I mean spreadsheet, sorry!

What program should this open in?

    • Kristine Fretwell

It should open in Microsoft Excel.

This looks neat, but it doesn’t factor in how many times a person does yoga a week, rats!

Agreed. Would have been nice if there were more exercise options…
