Favorite Find: Low Carb Crackers

Hey everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far.  Still doing lots of packing for the move, and we have a garage sale this weekend. We have so much stuff to get rid of, so it will be nice to clear some clutter! Today is also hubby’s birthday, so I’ll me whipping up a special dinner for him tonight.

This is another Favorite Find I had the pleasure of trying at the Natural Health Expo in Anaheim a while back.  The company was kind enough to send me some full size samples. I was excited to have found a low carb cracker, so its great when you have a need for something crunchy but don’t want the additional carbs.  Its also whole food ingredients which is another thing that is hard to find in a cracker.

Here are some other important points about their crackers….

  • Gluten-free
  • Vegan
  • Omega 3
  • Natural antioxidants
  • Dietary fiber
  • Soy free
  • No sugar, additives, preservatives or fillers

My favorite flavor is “Taste of Tuscany”.  Not sure why, but its just the one I kept going back to.

How Do They Taste?

They remind me of these raw crackers I get at Whole Foods.  They are not sweet, and they are definitely a hearty-fill you up cracker.  I love things that have a whole grain and/or flax type taste, so these are perfect.  They aren’t like traditional crackers though, so don’t expect that.  They are unique and savory.

But like I said, if you want the crunch factor, some great flavor, and not a lot of carbs, these are great!

Where to Buy

They are in various stores in the US, so you’ll have to see if there are in a store near you locally.  But if not, you can buy online here through their website.  Unfortunately, it isn’t available for Canada quite yet.

    Based on a friend’s recipe, I did this: mixed flaxmeal 1:1 with water, added some seasonings (salt, garlic powder, chlorela powder since I have so much!) and spread the mixture thinly in my dehydrator (on a dehyrating sheet). It was pretty crunchy and addictive. Not sure how low carb though.

      Sounds fab! I don’t have a dehydrator, but I do have a drying setting on my oven that I’ve used for jerky. Would probably work. Thanks for sharing!

    gluten-free AND no sesame? I was really happy reading your post… until I saw that they weren’t available in Canada. Doh!
