No added fat in this banana bread! I have a slice of this with a protein shake (mixed with water) for a snack! P.S. CHECK OUT how thick the slices are for 1 serving!!!!!

Ingredients
Wet:
3 egg whites
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup applesauce
1/2 NuNaturals Stevia Baking Blend (or 12 packets stevia, or 1/2 c splenda, or honey or agave–but nutritionals will change)
Dry:
2 cups oat flour (ground up oatmeal–use uncontaminated oats for gluten free) Could also use whole wheat flour or spelt flour, but they are slightly higher calorie.
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. In a medium bowl, beat the egg whites, and add the remaining wet ingredients – mix thoroughly. In another bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Then lightly blend all of the ingredients together, and pour the mixture into a loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out dry. Let the loaf stand in the pan for 10 minutes, then slice and serve.

    Hi Kristine,

If I don’t want to add the Stevia, is there anything I should do to adjust the recipe?

    Thanks!

Hi Carime! It might be sweet enough for you on its own. Taste the batter. If not sweet enough add some of your favorite sweetener (cane sugar, palm sugar, honey)

Thanks Kristine! It was great with no added sweetener at all!
