12 Week Transformation Update

12 weeks is up!  My hubby has reached the final phase in his program!  He’s very happy with the results!

He didn’t have much weight to lose, it was more about gaining muscle and dropping body-fat.  If you want to see the other progress updates, see starting point, week 4 & week 8

The program he did was Jamie Eason’s 12 week LiveFit Trainer through Bodybuilding.com.  He also took a lot of training tips from Kris Gethin and his 12-week Daily Trainer.

So gone is your excuse that you don’t have the money to hire someone to do a program for you!  These programs are FREE! If you follow it, you will get results.  Period.

p.s.  Dis-regard the moustache…lol.  He’s doing the “movember”.  1 word: ewwww.  I’ll be glad when its gone! HA!

I haven’t posted his measurements along the way, as I wanted to wait till the end.  Note: He’s 5’11

Start
Weight: 190
Arm: 14.3 ”
Chest: 41.5 ”
Thigh: 24 ”
Abs: 37.5 ”
Neck: 15.5 ”

End
Weight: 182 (- 8 lbs)
Arm: 14.5 ” (+.2 “)
Chest: 41 ” (-.5 “)
Thigh: 23 ” (-1 “)
Abs: 32 3/4 ” (- 4.75 “)
Neck: 15.5 ” (same)

Hiccups along the way?

He went hunting for 1 week, so he actually did the program for 13 weeks, as he couldn’t work out or eat as well as he would have liked. He indulged a couple of times (wedding, special dinner), but for 99% of the time, he stuck to the suggested eating plan.  He didn’t count calories, but he was aware of his protein and carb portions (in grams).

What he thought…

He didn’t find it very tough.  The end was more challenging as the carbs were lower, but he said it was easier than he expected.  He’s a good eater most of the time, so the diet wasn’t that drastic of a change

What’s next?

He’s now looking at various muscle-building programs, as he’d like to add about 10 lbs of muscle.  So he’ll be upping his calories, carbs and protein and switching to a weight lifting program with a heavy focus with less reps.

    Hey Kristine!  Is Jamie Easons 12 week program free?  And are the workouts for the gym or at home?  I think my hubby and I might try this as soon as we get back from Vegas 🙂  The pictures of your hubby just might have convince my hubby to try it!!  Good job for him, he looks really good.

      Yes, its free. Some workouts you could do at home. But you would need to get to a gym for a lot of it.

      I thought I responded.  Its not showing…weird.  Yes, its free.  Most of the workouts would need to be done at the gym unless you have a big setup at home.

    If he wants to put on muscle mass, he actually needs to do a program with a lot of high rep, short rest sets.  Heavy sets with low reps are better for building strength than putting on muscle. Just something to keep in mind for future training

      I’m not as familiar with programs for guys to be honest. But all the info I read conflicts with what you said. Any links you can suggest?

      You should!  Once you get in the routine, its easy to follow.  Its nice to have everything in front of you…makes it brainless…you just do it.  He never went hungry, and actually ate a lot more than normal.  Highly recommend it!  Hard to believe its free!!!
